The History

F.M. Clark and his son built The Clark Building in 1922, taking the basement and first floor as offices and renting furnished rooms on the second floor to boarders. The building became the Hinze Otto Garage in the 1930s and a warehouse in the 1940s and 1950s.

The Clark Building stood vacant until it was purchased in 2004 and renovated in an industrial-chic style, intersecting rustic urban with elegant modernity, punctuated with pops of red, aubergine and aqua. A rooftop level was added, including a south-facing patio with two fire pits, as well as a two-story glass chandelier and a spectacular primary bathroom with an enormous travertine tub.
